As emphasized In the 1987 Constitution textbook (look at arrow), the Philippine Archipelago referred to in the 1987 Constitution Article 1 is the one mentioned in the 1935 Constitution Article 1.

In the 1935 Constitution, there is an Entitlement stating that the limits of the Republic of the Philippines, established by the United States since 1898, exercising jurisdiction in the Philippine Territory are set forth in Article 3 of the Treaty of Paris.
